((Now with 75% more realism.))
Welcome to the Game of Life, where you (collectively speaking) attempt to steer the life of one specially selected stick figure from the first steps of independence to wherever life may lead. Will it lead to fame and fortune? (Almost positively not but you can dream!) Will it lead to poverty and destitution? (Only if you do very very badly!) The results of our hero's actions rely entirely on your input. I will update this thread when I'm able to (ideally once a day or after every 5 replies)
This is Ambiguous Sam.
("Sam is short for what? Samantha? Samuel?" people ask. "Who cares, whatever," Sam cheerfully replies.)
Ambiguous Sam is starting their journey to true independence. Currently, Sam lives at home with their parents (Parental Unit Pat and Standard Issue Izzy) who are a pair of well meaning but very clueless baby boomers. They've been dropping some very strong hints that it's time Sam left the nest. After all, they left home when they were 19 and it turned out fine for them!!! Hahaha.. ha.
Ahem.
Sam has a little money saved up from their first and last job, working in a mom & pop style candy shop. The pay was atrociously poor; you made only the minimal wage considering it was your first job and that's usually how first jobs go. You stuck around for the rest of the school year but once you graduated you handed your candy cane badge in and took your last paycheck along with a newfound hatred of small children and fudge. As a result, you have a modest savings of about $200. Jobless but not penniless, your future lies ahead.
And that future comes down to your first major decision. Do you pursue a higher education, jump straight into a job search, or eagerly seek out your first new apartment?
Ambiguous Sam's Stats:
Job Status: Full Time Student (Computer Science), Part Time Phone Operator
Money: $200
Debt: $9000
Friends: 7
Transportation: Old '01 Acura
Housing: Campus Apartment
