Uncle Adrian

Dreamwarp had decided to take the kids to LOAAE to get a bit of fresh air, run around, and enjoy the closest thing that passed for Earth in the Glitch. She used to head to LODAH for that, but this planet was not only more peaceful but even closer of a resemblance to Earth. You know if you pretend there's no cities or anything; she certainly hadn't come across any. But that was perfectly fine with her. She was used to a certain amount of raw nature surrounding her cozy town life from growing up where she did.

Lysander had turned out to have other plans so it was just her and her daughters. Kura and Eris (presently female) were chasing each other around, giggling madly, occasionally stopping to just talk to one another. The family was somewhere heavily forested, lounging near a lake. Evergreens were the main tree here and Dreamwarp was finding the scent of pine quite calming.

Since watching even just two of her hellions could be taxing, she'd reached out to her friends to see who wanted to help her babysit. Pleasantly, Adrian was free, and so she'd shot him their coordinates once she'd picked out a 'camping' spot. She'd brought some comforts, such as a pair of lawn chairs and a cooler packed with ice and drinks and another cooler with snacks. Idly, she watched fire dancing around her hands. She'd chatted Adrian about the glitch to warn him what to expect, and had informed her kids as well, with a strong word to not hurt each other or she'd drown them both in the lake and then spank them raw before hauling everyone home. Eris shot a spray of water at Kura playfully, knowing that Kura couldn't retaliate with her fire. The girl settled on trying to push Eris into the lake unsuccessfully.

((Dreamwarp is Fire/Storm, Kura is Fire, and Eris is Water.))

Adrian had been a bit later then when he told Dreamwarp he'd be there, but thats just about to be expected from him. He was floating above the lake looking down, he didn't see Dreamwarp sitting on the edge of the lake so he lowered down floating just above the lake. He looked totally relaxed despite not knowing where he was or where Dreamwarp was. He looked around and he saw Eris and Kura. He decided he was done with flying so he touched down on top of the lake a small patch of ice freezing over where he stepped, large and deep enough to hold his weight. He began walking towards the two kids with a smile on his face, it was a loose smile, almost as if he was just passively happy. As he neared the shore he waved at the two kids. He didn't say anything at first just waved as he put his two hands back into his pockets.

((Adrian is ice and earth)) 

[Lady]

"Hey Adrian," Dreamwarp called out, getting up.

"Hi Uncle Adrian!" Eris and Kura called out, much louder, at the same time as each other.

"How are you making the water freeze like that?" Eris asked, trying to put her foot on top of the water to recreate it and failing.

[kyfres]

Adrian looked at Dreamwarp noticing her for the first time since he got to the planet he waved over to her. He looked at the two children and smiled. Then he furrowed his eyebrow. Then he frowned. "To be honest I dont know, I just kind of do" He said. He held out his hand as a small crystal of ice formed. It looked like a stereotypical snowflake but it quickly evolved becoming a full shard of ice. He put his other hand ontop of the ice shard and pushed together as he did the ice seemed to disappear. He held his hands cupped together. He pulled his top hand up as it started to snow from his top hand down to his bottom hand. "I just feel out the ice and then its real easy there. Its like how I manipulate fate and doom when I use my god-tier powers. I just felt the strings of fate, I would pluck or pull at them, it was just so natural for me. This is just the same to be honest, my powers once I accepted a few things, well they just came naturally. I guess these powers are just the same." He said with a shrug as the snow kept falling from his right hand making a small snow pile in his left. He swirled his right hand together closing it and overturned his left hand as the rest of the snow fell to the ground.

[Lady]

Eris and Kura made happy noises at the little display Adrian was putting on. "Stop being a showboat and come over and hug me," Dreamwarp demanded.

Eris hopped up and down, trying to get Adrian's attention off her mother. "Uncle Adrian, look what I can do!" She sprayed some water from her palm and then began to make water rise from the top of the lake.

"That's boring," Kura snorted. "Watch this." She created a blazing pair of flames in her hand.

[kyfres]

Adrian grinned widely at the two of them "The two are you are adorable you know?" He stood up straight smiling at the two kids. He walked over to Dreamwarp as he started to walk away he looked at the two children smiling. He turned towards Dreamwarp he cut across the Lake to get to her with a huge smile on his face. "How are you doing Dreamy?" he asked happily as he walked towards his old friend.

[Lady]

"Not bad, not bad," she said and greeted Adrian with a tight hug and, going up on tiptoe, a quick kiss. "How are you?"

Seeing that he was firmly in the tentacled clutches of their mother, the two kids decided to go back to antgonizing one another. Presently this meant picking up pine cones to whip at each other.

[kyfres]

"thats good to hear" He said hugging her back just as tightly. "I've been pretty good, mostly relaxing and such. It's nice to be able to actually get out" Adrian said with a smile. He looked around "this place is really nice, and these powers are pretty cool" he said looking at he fingertips a few crystals forming on each, they started to spread a bit but as quickly as they did expand they also disipated in an odd rhythmic and cyclicical formation.

[Lady]

"You do certainly seem to be enamored of them," Dreamwarp remarked with a smirk. "At least it means you'll be able to keep our drinks cold." She reached up and tussled his hair playfully, reluctant to let go. "I feel like we haven't seen each other in ages. Guess even when you're immortal you can't stop growing up and drifting off, can you?" She nodded towards the girls. "That's my excuse anyway. I'm glad to hear you've been relaxing. I'm trying to do the same as best as I can though some recent news came up that..." She trailed off, suddenly not wanting to tarnish the moment with what she'd found out. "You know what, nevermind, it's not important. Beer?"

[kyfres]

"yeah it does seem like a long time we've just relaxed together" Adrian concured. He listened to her nodding "sure" he said with a grin. "I think that the whole relaxing part is important. Especially after something happens to you like what happened to us on LOFAM. A little down time is often what I need" he said. He took the bear and as he took it the condensation that was one it froze as he opened it and sipped from it.

[Lady]

Dreamwarp grabbed one for herself and settled back into her chair. "So speaking of kids, any glitchborn of your own yet?"

[kyfres]

"None that I've met or seen. There might be some out there or some on LOGAS but none have been searching for me as far as I can tell, or if they have been they haven't been doing a very good job. Plus from what I've seen glitchborn are made from the more active members of the glitch, there are tons of us who don't have any and those who dont do a ton ive noticed have none or at least fewer" Adrian noted looking around. As he did so he tapped each finger on his right hand to his thumb, each time he did a bit of ice stacked onto his thumb slowly coating it in a beautiful sheen of ice. It almost seemed as if he knew he was doing it but it was already so natural to him it wasn't of interest so he just looked around at the trees and at the lake smiling as he spoke. He had always been a bit loose headed so the fact that he wasn't looking directly at Dreamwarp as he spoke was no unusual thing.

[Lady]

Dreamwarp didn't mind his fidgeting or his wandering gaze. She was mostly keeping an eye on her kids anyway. "Hmm... I didn't think about it but I suppose you're right. Still. Do you want kids?"

She would have never contemplated asking that before but despite any of their physical ages, the truth was she felt like they had ALL aged considerably in spirit and heart since starting Sburb. She felt much more like an adult now than she did then.

[kyfres]

He remained silent for a little bit as he mulled over the question. He thought about it for a little bit before opening his mouth to answer. "I think so. I think I'd like spending time with them, thats the good part about the glitchborn you get to skip over all the diapers and whats generally considered the toughest and worst parts of parenting. I dont think I'd want babies but a few glitchborn I could enjoy that" he said smiling. His gaze wandered until he started speaking. His gaze ended where Dreamwarp's was on the two kids playing with eachother by the lakeside.

[Lady]

"Well... You're always welcome to borrow mine," Dreamwarp said with a smile. "They're starting to enter the rough age. You know. The part where you stop following your parents unquestioningly and start being an absolute little shit when you're in a mood. Eris even has a little boyfriend now, how freaking adorable and silly is that?" She made sure not to say that part too loudly though. Eris would certainly take offense hearing Dreamwarp talk about James that way. But no matter what, Dreamwarp couldn't make herself view the relationship as anything more than childish puppy love, something that they were destined to grow out of. After all, she hadn't really, truly fallen in love until she was nineteen.

"I'd really appreciate having someone to bounce them off to now and then," she said. "Not that I don't love them of course."

Eris had managed to form a large ball of water from the lake and was holding it still while Kura tried to heat it to boiling. For whatever reason, Dreamwarp had no idea. Abruptly, Eris turned treacherous and dumped the whole thing while it was still cool on Kura, soaking her, and elicitng an outraged scream from her sister.

Dreamwarp took a loooong drink from her beer. "But then you have that."
