((Totally open to anyone, if you're up for a sweet road trip, but especially sessionmates, if any of you are interested! (: ))
The sounds of electric guitar and drums echoed across the gray, indistinct surface of LOMAR. Slowly, a highway began to unfurl, like a red carpet being laid out for a guest of honor. A guest of honor pushing 150MPH in a hella sweet car. And singing along with the blaring music. Badly.
"She was a fast machine she kept her motor clean
She was the best damn woman that I EVER SEEN
She had the sightless eyes telling me no lies
Knocking me out with those American thighs
Taking more than her share
Had me fighting for air
She told me to come but I was ALREADY THERE"
Posy's version of self-reflection was a little more bombastic then some. Tired of being alone in her garage, she'd decided to be alone with at least some memories to keep her company. Visions of the places she'd driven popped up along the highway in scattered fragments as bits of them came back to her. Cities, deserts, coastlines. Every now and again, a figure would wave at her as she drove by, or briefly sit in her passenger seat. Faces she knew, and missed. Maybe coming here had been a bad idea. She pushed them out of her thoughts as well as she could, and they dissipated quickly, though she could feel the memories of them bubbling just beneath the surface. Instead, she forced herself to remember a driving course she'd set a record on, and there it was in front of her in perfect clarity. Navigating it with speed and a certain amount of recklessness, Posy turned up the volume and sang even louder, drumming her hands on the steering wheel.
"CAUSE THE WALLS START SHAKING
THE EARTH WAS QUAKING
MY MIIIND WAS ACHING
AND WE WERE MAKING IT
AND YOU
SHOOK ME ALLLL NIIIIGHT LOONG
YEAH YOU SHOOK ME ALLLLLL NIIIIIGHT LOOOONG"
"God," Posy thought to herself, "I can't be the only one who comes to this planet to do stuff like this. This could be really embarrassing." She decided to cross that bridge when and if she came to it, IE if someone else happened to be nearby, and kept singing anyway.
