On May 19, 2016, a bizarre and terrifying incident occurred with the WCMG music station. Hosted on LOCAMG, the station requires the viewer to enter a combination on keys on the remote to get to it.
It functions as a music station, with teletext-esque graphics that tell the current day and time, the name of the song playing, the artist, album, and release date. Sometimes, fun facts about the artist, album or song will be displayed as well. Sometimes, in between song, the station's host, who only identifies himself as Walpurgis Night, will make announcements about upcoming songs, talk about current events, or just goof off. Sometimes another person named Nathan, who claims to be WN's friend, will talk too.
On this particular day, WN and Nathan trolled the viewers, by announcing that since it's the first day of summer, they were going to play only songs from the Squiddles soundtrack for the entire day. The station proceeded to do so. As the day came to an end, the duo said that they were going to 'get stoned as fuck' and that they were going to play 'Let the Squiddles Sleep' as a closing song.
Walpurgis set the transmitter to turn off after playing said song, the duo said goodnight to the viewers and then supposedly left the station for the night. This is when things got weird.
Near the middle of the track, both the screen and the music cut off and remained cut off for several seconds. After this, what sounded like heavy, pained breathing could be heard. Then the Squiddles opening song began to play, but it was heavily distorted. The graphics also returned, but it was a mess of colors and no actual text.
After a few seconds of this, text began to appear on the screen:
'HELP US OUR BRAI'
The song became more and more distorted, until the screen cut to black and a disturbing, intense droning sound began to play. At least 3 viewers reported having broken speakers as a result of this.
Near the end, a garbled mess of distorted, high pitched voices started shouting. It's hard to hear what they are saying, and witnesses have different interpretrations on what they heard. Some include:
'Help us'
'Please Gog'
'Oh Gog'
'It's so dark'
'Walter please'
'I'm so sorry'
'Let us go'
'It burns'
'Somebody help us'
'Let us out'
'Why are you doing this'
'Walter why'
'Somebody get us out of here'
Etc.
Finally, the video became silent again. A few seconds of what seems to be a VHS recording of someone in a black hoodie using a scalpel to cut open an unidentified man's head and remove his brain. It cuts to the hooded figure chopping up the man's brain and inserting the pieces into the USB port of an old computer.
After this, the video finally cuts out and the graphics return to normal, depicting the usual 'Away Message' that is displayed when WN and Nathan aren't on the air.
Several confused viewers called in the next day. When showed a recording of the incident, both hosts were horrified and bewildered. They insisted that they never added that segment to the show tape, and were 'out getting stoned' when it happened. They apologized profusely and swore to check show tapes jbefore playing them from now on.
