Noir stifled a yawn as she stretched, sitting up from where she'd been laying on the ground with a soft lavender pillow. "I wonder what time it is," she murmured as she removed her sleep mask to look at her phone. Huh. No messages. She tapped at the screen a few times, frowning when Pesterchum displayed nobody online. Actually...where was her contact list?
"Seriously?" Noir rolled her eyes and put everything away in her sylladex. "I'll have to find someone else and use...their...phone. Um." Now that she was more awake and looking at her surroundings, she could tell that something really weird was going on. She wouldn't put it past a sessionmate to move her somewhere else while she caught a nap as a joke, but they'd all visited each others' planets. This wasn't one of them.
Hidden area? Maybe. She pulled her broom from her strife deck, just in case, and did a double take as it looked a little more toylike than usual. Hm. Was she in someone's dream? Well, that was easy enough to determine. Noir reached out with her aspect, trying to alter the landscape with her power, but it slid over everything to no effect. She was in the real world, then. Or as real as a video game could be, anyway.
"Hm. Now what's going on here, then?" With a thought, she shifted her white nightgown into a long, black tunic dress embroidered with little blue flowers before stepping into the air to get a better look around.
If she was going to be honest, she had no idea what the heck she was doing on LOFAN. At least, she couldn't remember at first. But, then she remembered her crazy idea to check /all/ of the planets. Or, at least, planets she hadn't visited yet. And, this was definitely one of them. Big mistake. Her staff had become toy-like, and less effective, especially when one of the planets Fauna decided to come at her. At the very least, the smoke effect had still been decent enough for her to get away.
But, she knew that in the long run, that wouldn't be enough. She would need help if hoped to survive for much longer on this planet. However, as the troll continued walking, she spotted a human woman nearby, looking to be maybe a sweep or more older than her? But, it didn't matter. She needed an ally on this planet either way. Walking over to her, she smiled warmly. "Hey, there. New to this session, or at least to this planet?" She asked.
Noir glanced down and over her shoulder at the sound of someone's voice, wondering which of her friends it was before what was being said registered. Well, would have registered, had the speaker not been something she'd never even seen before. Wut. She turned slowly in the air, staring at the troll as she touched back down. Maybe it was a hidden zone. This definitely was no Carapacian or kind underling that she'd seen before.
"Um...what now? What are you?" Noir took a step forward, head tilted to one side. Then what had been said clicked. "Wait...new to this session? What counts as 'new?' We've been here for a while, but the planet's a new one on me. I thought we'd been to all of them already."
Oh. So, the human had utterly no idea, did she? Well, she would try to break it gently to her. "I'm Lillan Lothal, a Troll from the planet Beforus. And, well- I'm not really entirely sure what to tell you, buuuuutttttt, you're currently a part of a failed session. A Megasession, actually, composed of multiple failed sessions, called 'The Glitch'. Don't worry, though. It's not really bad here. Infact, some of us believe we can actually find a way to leave one day!"
Noir furrowed her brow as the troll - as Lillan spoke. Failed session. Okay, someone had screwed up somewhere. Jesus, how did they manage to fail the whole game while she was asleep? That took a special kind of effort, and someone clearly needed to be thwacked on the ass with her broom when she figured that part out. Not hard, mind, but really. ...except her contacts list was wiped and she didn't know how she was going to get in touch with anyone else at that point.
"Okay, hold the part about getting out of...whatever kind of composite session this is for a sec," she said with a faint frown. "How am I gonna find everyone else? Would they be on this planet to, or another one, or something else?"
Note: Please don't tag people in your replies. For non-staff in the IC boards, tagging is just for flagging staff for assistance, or if you've posted a new thread to let the others to be involved know that the thread has been created.
She blinked in response to the human's question. "Errrrrr, I, uh..." She sighed. "Honestly? I don't know...I never really found the other players of my session. But, that isn't really important right now." She said, starting to look a bit serious. "We're on a world where our weapons are less useful, and, unless you're a Witch of Space, we really should be working together to try and get off of it. I don't know if you've seen some of the creatures on this world, but I've definitely seen one, and, trust me, we definitely need to work together to get out of here." She told her, hoping the human would listen to her. This was no time for fun and games. But, sometimes, she never really was sure how other players would react to certain situations...
Noir narrowed her eyes in thought as she twirled her broom in one hand. Well, that wasn't good. And Witch of Space? She'd thought her group had all of the aspects covered, but that was a new one on her. Oh well! She could ask about that strangeness later. "I just woke up here, so I haven't seen much of anything yet. But I mean, since this is still a session of sorts, it's all just prototyped imps and basilisks and stuff, right? And to get off of here, we just need to fly to gate like usual?"
Lillan sighed. "Well, like I said, this isn't really a regular session. It's a failed Megasession. Called the Glitch." She hated being like this, but, she felt the need to inform the other on how not everything was going to be how she expected it to be. "And, you would not believe how many players exist here. Even if this was normal, I don't think the monsters would be as easy as you expect. But, yes, as long as we get to the gate without too much trouble, we should be fine. Maybe I could take you to Derse? It's possible your friends might be there."
If there were an unbelievable number of players, and she ended up on...whatever planet this was, she doubted everyone was on Derse, but Derse had been a 'not-an-adventure-zone' planet, along with Prospit, so maybe it was still safer to chill out on.
"I'm kind of getting the feeling that one place is as likely as another," Noir said as she hopped back up into the air to hover a few feet off the ground, "but if Derse is a safe-ish place to actually sit down and talk about the kind of mess I'm in here, that works for me! Now, you said our weapons aren't as effective here, but what about other stuff? I've got some powers that are pretty good in a fight if it comes to that."
Lillan nodded. "Well, powers could definitely work." She told her. Although, she wasn't exactly sure how useful her powers would be on any nightmare beasts they encountered. Could she use her bond powers to make the monsters less aggressive? Hmmmm...Maybe. At least, she hoped she could. Although, she was going to let her new friend try and use her powers on any beasts they encountered first, just incase. "Anyway, gate's back this way." She told her, heading back in the direction she had come from, hoping that beast wasn't still there...
"Would it be quicker if we flew?" Noir asked as she began to follow. "You could use my broom to fly if you're not God Tier yet. If it's not going to be that useful as a weapon anyway, I can make do with my other stuff." Was God Tier a thing here? Well, obviously it was a Thing, since she could still fly, but could people who weren't gods make it to God Tier in this Glitch? She was racking up the questions, and it was apparently a bad spot to ask many, so Noir just filed that one away with the rest.
She sighed when the human first asked if they should fly, but, apparently, she did realize that the troll might not God Tier, and offered a ride on her broom. Lillan stopped, and pondered that. "HMmmm...Well, I've never been on a broom, and, honestly, I guess there's no better time for it, since it's definitely true that I'm not God Tier yet." She knew there was probably a way to ascend in the Glitch, but, she wasn't sure it was the same as the old way. Anyway- "I accept your offer~" She told her, smiling gratefully.
"Just hop on, like this," Noir told her, demonstrating as she took the broom and sat on it sideways, as if it were a bench. A really, really skinny bench. "It's less awkward and more comfortable to ride this way." She took the broom back in hand and held it out to Lillan. "I know it looks weird, but it'll totally hold you up, promise."
She hummed. Well, she supposed it looked easy enough, at least. Besides, it could be pretty fun to fly on a broom like some witches. Nodding at the human, she took the broom, and sat down on it the same way the human had before. She was initially surprised, but, then again, after her experiences, she supposed she really shouldn't be. "Well, this does seem like it might be kind of fun~ Also, my name is Lillan. Lillan Lothal, incase you were wondering."
Noir started to reply in the negative and remind Lillan that she'd already given her name, but then she realised...she hadn't given her name, even when Lillan had told her hers. Oops. And wasn't it nice of Lillan to just give her name again as a gentle reminder instead of pointing out that Noir hadn't introduced herself yet? And really, if it was an oversight on the troll's part, there wasn't a need to point it out.
So instead, she just gave a smile and said, "My name is Noir. I'm a Witch of Dreams. Have you figured out your classpect yet? Not everyone in my session has." Had? Has. Be optimistic, Noir.
