The bass-y sound on the planet seemed to thud around him gently as he awoke, stopping a moment to get his bearings. "Where in the absolute sh-" he was cut off as he noticed the music around him, starting as a soft, melodic build up as he threw himself onto his feet and listened, he stepped along accordingly, swaying a bit to the sounds as he did a half dance half walk along the planet's surface, suddenly, but not unpleasantly, the music suddenly went from calm and peaceful to almost dubstep, as he found himself picking up his pace, humming along to the beat.

Where did a Samarian angel go to hear modern (to them) music? Well...Derse, usually. But LORAF was a good second choice. Especially if said angel was in the mood for a bit of dancing. Zack enjoyed it, but the large, black, feathery wings that grew from his back made it difficult in close quarters. Especially in Derse's clubs. Things could be a bit more spread out in a Prospitan ball room, but the club scene was one that Zack had very quickly learned was better for spectating if one had a roughly twelve-foot wingspan. Unlike some races, his wings didn't disappear into goodness-knew-where whenever he wanted.
As it was, he still had to keep them pulled in and lifted as he moved, though more in an attempt to keep the long flight feathers from dragging in the mud than anything. Dubstep was far out of his realm of experience, so he was basically moving in a one-person ballroom dance, allowing the planet's glitch to alter the pace of his steps. Zack was paying far more attention to the music than to his surrounding, and didn't notice the troll until he was only a few feet away. Oops. Well, at least he hadn't run into the guy.
"Hi there!" Zack greeted with a grin as he paused, moving in place to the beat.
The Troll never stopped moving once, if he had to talk to him, circling around to the front of him he replied "Hey there, haven't seen one much like you before, the name's Glitch, nice to meet you" he almost sang as he extended an arm to shake his hand, slightly bowing as if ending a dance, hand still outstretched, as he greeted the man, finally stopping in front of him, but swaying to the now slowed beat.
Zack grinned and clasped the troll's hand to shake. "Well, that's not too surprising; there don't seem to be that many angels about. Aside from my husband, I don't know of any others, myself." Trolls, though, those were nearly as familiar a sight to him as humans those days. "I'm Zachriel, Zack to most." He tilted his head. "Your name's a bit ironic. Or did you pick it up after ending up here?"
Privately, Zack was betting more on it being a nickname or some sort of deliberate ironic statement. What were the odds that a person named Glitch would end up in the Glitch?
He shook the angel's hand, grinning, "a bit ironic? what do you mean? I just woke up here less than an hour ago." he looked a tad confused, then stood properly, taking a look around, as he still moved to the now relatively calm pace of the music swaying from side to side a bit in rhythm with it. "Better question would be how do I get out of here? it's not exactly unpleasant, but at the same time,I'd like to find my friends, i'm sure they're somewhere....." he started looking around a more serious look on his face now.
Zack's expression flickered a bit at that, eye twitching as his grin faltered and froze determinedly in place as his mind raced ahead. Oh. No. Nononono. He did not like being the bearer of anything but good news. How did you spin 'you session failed, you're stuck in a huge composite session with no way of winning, and your friends may or may not ever appear' into even neutral news?
Answer: You try really, really hard and hope the other person is an optimist.
"Oh! Well, this--" Zack spread his arms time with the music, "--is the Glitch. They call it a megasession, but it basically boils down to sometimes people's game sessions don't go quite the right way, and instead of you know...." He rotated his left hand in a vague gesture. "...um, dying or anything along those lines, we, and parts of our sessions, end up here. Time is kinda strange, so your friends might have been here for a while already, or they might not have gotten here yet." Or they might not show up at all, but he wasn't going to say that.
"Oh........." he looked suddenly very blank, anyone could tell by looking at him that all this information was processing inside his head "So...my session failed?......we didn't win?......we all thought we'd won...thought we'd finished it and gotten out of there alive....." the music around them suddenly changed to fit the mood as the troll sat down and contemplated what he had just been told, trying to come to terms with it. "So.....you said this is a megasession of sorts? is there any way to win?" he looked very distressed and very confused, this was a big shock to him, he wasn't sure what to do with this new information, he looked up at the angel with a look that could only be described as a loss of all hope on his face.
This...was not going well. At all. Zack tugged nervously at the feathers of one wing and thought about calling Zira or Morrigan to help smooth things over. They were much better at being comforting in these sorts of situations, mainly because neither of them were afraid of letting things be sad for a bit. Oh, stop that, he thought irritably as the music changed. Really? Of all the types of music LORAF could do, it picked now to go with a planetwide broadcast of maudlin?
"Well...," Zack hedged, "aside from breeding frogs, you don't have much direct control over what kind of place the new universe at the end is anyway, right? You can just think of the Glitch as your new world and learn to live in it. Most of the planets are strange, but they're not all bad. That's how we on Prospit look at things, anyway." He rubbed the back of his neck. "There's a few factions here. Preservationists are on Prospit, and we're pretty well settled here. Because...there's not a way to win that anyone has figured yet - the planets don't have quests or anything - but the Ruinists on Derse are trying. Studying things, experimenting.... My world was pretty low-tech; so I don't understand most of it. I mean, we didn't even have electricity, really."
And given the age of the Glitch, the Ruinists had been trying to no avail for thousands of years, but he didn't see any sense in saying that.
the troll stood up "These....ruinists, theyre trying to win you said?" he looked excited as he stood up, beginning to babble on about things, but through the incoherent babble the angel heard a few questions "So this place.....I guess I need to call it home, but I still wanna win the session. I don't wish to be trapped here, no offense meant, so how do I get off of this planet?" he then quickly added "however I don't have much control over the outcome of this new universe........but I could try to find a way for us space players to gain some form of control over it....right? that is possible? to at least try?"
Glad though he was that Glitch seemed to be perking up a bit, Zack had no idea what the troll meant. "Er, not really following you there," he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm not a Space player, myself. But getting off planets is pretty easy, especially if you can fly. You can take the long way 'round by flying from planet to planet, or you can just find a gate like you would normally in the game. They're not really labelled or anything, and they're sometimes kind of, well, glitchy, but most planets have gates that go back to Derse and Prospit's gate hubs."
He cleared his throat before speaking, realizing he was rambling on a bit "Well, in that case, do you happen to know where one of the gates is? I would like to get off of this planet as soon as I could, it's nice here and all, but I would prefer to see what the rest of this place is like as well." he patiently waited for a reply as he was gently listening to the beat around him, swaying slightly as it had seemed to get slightly more upbeat.
Okay, that, he could do. And easily. "Sure do," Zack said, relaxing. Crisis apparently averted. "The gate back to Prospit is just that way; that's where I got here from." He gestured over his shoulder with one thumb. "And from there, you can hop straight to any other planet, except Derse or outer LOSAR. There's a gate to LOSAR on Skaia, though, and the ISS is there, too, so you can take a ship to Derse or wherever else if you want."
