Choose who you believe would win in a strife!

MITRAX
Name: Mitrax Poiyer
Link to Profile: thehomestuckglitch.proboards.com/thread/140/mitrax-poiyer
Strife Strategy: Mitrax is a melee fighter. His primary weapon depends on his opponent. Against heart players, anyone of a race that is demonic, undead, or anyone who looks obviously evil to look at them (they wear a lot of evil looking gear, skulls, spikes, etc) or any players that use cold/ice based items or powers, he'll wield his Angelic Scythtar. Against other players he uses Scythtar of the Callous to try and disorient his opponents as well as damage through the memory-destroying ability. He'll go into battle donning his Mask of the Nightmares to add a bit of psychological warfare to the duel. He also wears his "Half of an Anti-Timeline Tampering Bracelet" in the event of time shenanigans, even if his opponent is not a Time player. Against people using a lot of ranged attacks and evading his attempts to close in melee, he will whip out the Rocking Rave flashlight and either try to shine it on them or just throw it at them. Anyone who gets in very close with him (grappling close) he may use his prehensile hair to just get an edge, trying to poke his opponent in the eyes or get in their face until he can get a comfortable amount of space to attack again. If he gets really desperate he'll try to split off some splinters of his soul to help him fight.
Strengths: Very strong Heart player, making him highly resistant to attempts to meddle with his soul and emotions. Physically strong so his strikes hit pretty hard. Good stamina so he can keep fighting for a while before tiring.
Weaknesses: Doesn't have perfect use of his aspect ability so it may just plain not work when he wants it to. Doesn't have much defense against primarily ranged attacks. Also vulnerable to sneak attacks. Can't hit what you can't see!

EVIUS
Name: Evius
Link to Profile: Boom
Strife Strategy:
Evius fights like, well, a snake. He's a melee fighter, but he knows how to dart in for a quick stab and get out of the way. He loves his poisons, and both of his daggers are envenomed always. Dagger of Inspiration can be filled with whatever cocktail he chooses, and the Stinger of the Manticore secretes poison all the time, in addition to being able to punch through steel. He's certainly not above filling his Dagger of Inspiration with Flush to get an enemy's mind way out of the game at hand, either. The stuff won't make them attracted to him specifically, but it does get kind of hard to keep up the fight when you really want to drag a willing partner (or just themselves) into the bedroom instead. Alternately, he an also fill it with Shoosh to mellow out a more aggressive combatant. Once an opponent is so distracted, Evius has no scruples about going for the kill. His Mantistaff gives him help against ranged fighters with its ability to shoot poison barbs to hinder their movement, and being able to have some distance between himself and his enemy now and them gives him a break from the empathic feed. Generally, he's an 'everything goes' kind of fighter, with no pretenses to 'honorable' combat. He'll do whatever it takes to win.
Strengths: Quick and agile, good at dodging. He's got a good deal of stamina and can keep dancing around a muscled-up opponent for a good while. GT flight for a 'death from above' move with his daggers, or to shoot with his staff. Troll power - Telepathy. Since his telepathy only goes one way, he can tease and taunt and get under someone's skin without having to waste his breath on speaking. If they want to respond in kind, if they're not a telepath of some stripe themselves, they'll have to speak aloud to get a word in. His Empathy can also let him know when an enemy is actually confident, blowing hot air, or trying to hide their desperation. Slightly masochistic; he doesn't do crushing blows well, but lashes from a whip or slices from a blade invigorate him.
Weaknesses: The flipside of his empathy - It's a passive ability that he doesn't have to think to use, which means he can't turn it off. Whatever his opponent is feeling, he'll be able to feel, and if they're feeling the same thing, it ratchets up the intensity of his own emotion, which can be a coin-toss regarding whether it will help him or hurt him. He's never sure which. Positive emotions can fuck him up, too, because they're kind of a drug to him. VIND OF DISTRACTING. He can use his earrings of shoosh to help offset the empathy problem, but they help him keep his head at the cost of losing a bit of intensity. He's also not very physically strong or able to really take a heavy blow well.
