ATARES
Name: Atares Tekhne
Link to Profile: boop
Strife Strategy: Atares does not fight to kill. In fact, she'd rather avoid it; it's messy, gross, and unless there's an explosion involved, where's the point? That being said, she won't go out of her way to ensure the survival of her foe. She has a very devil-may-care kind of fighting style as long as two things don't happen: one, she actually thinks you're a threat to her safety, or two, you manage to damage her pride. Neither is particularly hard to do, really. She's not very physically strong and more acute in her actions than she is quick, but she has some mean wits and won't hesitate to cheat if she catches a loophole. Often she uses fear to her advantage rather than actual damage and would much rather disable her foe than face them directly. Her weapon? A paintbrush. Specifically, one that paints sticky spider silk, even in mid-air. If she needs to, she'll use it to trap her opponent or slow them down, but it's not good for actual damage. For that, she uses Elegance, a tame, rideable, and vampiric spider who she also uses as her mount for as long as she can to keep herself out of range of her foes without expending her energy flying. While Elegance is not particularly strong, she is quick and serves as Atares' only means of inflicting physical harm. Atares will usually only bring her out after she's sufficiently disabled her opponent. Defensively, she has her Furisode of the Syllabarist and Brooch of Psychic Butterflies. While the former grants her stoneskin and thus immunity to physical attacks for a short period, the latter sends out an illusory cloud of butterflies that warn her of approaching danger. Power-wise, Atares is a god tier Witch of Rage, and as such will manipulate the fear in others to greater levels if her ordinary strategy doesn't work. She also has the fraymotif Witch's Rhapsody, which allows her to send several players at once into a flurry of inconsistent rage, though it is unlikely that she will use this in one-to-one combat as she would rather not have that rage directed onto herself. It should be noted that she has serious hearing impairment, and while her brooch and what little hearing she has left may be enough to warn her of danger, it's not always difficult to sneak up on her if you can cause a distraction.
Strengths: Cunning, adaptable, dextrous, exploits loopholes, resourceful, uses fear to her advantage, GT flight
Weaknesses: Physically weak, few ways to cause actual harm, hearing impairment, tires easily, little motivation to fight, overestimates herself, hesitates to make a finishing blow

DREAMWARP
Name: Dreamwarp
Link to Profile: thehomestuckglitch.proboards.com/thread/1017/dreamwarp
Strife Strategy: Dreamwarp is an extremely versatile fighter. Her deck aside, she always has her Parasite Whip resting in her second strife specibus which she'll whip out if she wants to try and grapple a weapon away from an opponent (in the case of melee fighters.) For a prepared strife she'll throw on her Goggles of Truth to see past illusion, her Cloak of Hiding to use for bursts of stealth, and her Masque of Binding. After that, her strategy is very fluid against her opponents. A favored strategy is to try and use her whip, masque, and Fool Card to try and get an opponent bound and helpless. Once they're at her mercy she'll either use her whip to choke them out or she'll take their incapacitation to use her Hierophant card if she feels she can pull it off in time. (I bid you to forfeit and declare me the winner!) This strategy works best against those who are weak of will or slower to move. For melee fighters, if she can't get them tied up she'll try and keep some distance between herself and them. Star card is useful for a good square solid strike and the Tower is good for this as well. The Moon and the Devil is handy for ranged fighters. She might utilize the Lovers to distract them early on in the fight. If she can't keep distance, she'll use the Strength and Magician cards, using her increased strength to break free of grapples or to just punch someone in the face if they get too close. Her magician card will let her use her powers faster, better. She's a Witch of Time which means she'll bend time so that she is faster and her opponent is slower.
Strengths: Versatile, versatile, versatile. She's got a lot of aces up her sleeve and can adapt to virtually any kind of opponent. She's also dabbled in a lot of creepy cultist stuff so anything invoking eldritch horrors is more likely to make her giddy than frighten her.
Weaknesses: She's erratic and chaotic but not half as crazy as she claims. She's very susceptible to mental assaults or anything that attacks her senses. A fair amount of her cards rely on striking her enemies so nimble opponents will prove a bit frustrating for her as well. She also doesn't have a lot of offensive options. If someone can get her to waste her cards she'll find herself relying on her whip and her wits and that's often not good enough.
