For weapons, armor, and other items with powers that may be resisted or end up in opposition with another item or power, we require a power level on a scale of Weak to Epic to show how strong the item is. Here is the pricing for item powers:
1b-100b – Weak items.
100b-500b – Light items.
500b-2000b – Moderate items.
2000b-4000b – Strong items.
4000b-5000b+ – Epic items.
For consumable items like potions and other things that are one-use only, they may be a level higher than their price indicates.
So we've had problems with some seriously waked out prices as of late and I think the best way to solve this might be as simple as making a post in the player shop how to with example price ranges and things that could fit in there.
1b-10b: Simple items things that are low priced in our world, pencils, notebooks, also things that might be more pricey in our world but are pretty basic in Sburb like a laptop, headphones, etc
10b-50b: Almost entirely mundane items such as a game station, a simple TV, or very weakly powered 'magical' items like a short term speed boost or something that allows you to change your hair color once a thread.
50b-100b: Useful items, things that could be useful but aren't inherently powerful, a thread long speed boost, something that makes you feel refreshed even after (or during) a long battle.
100b-300b: Usefully Powerful Items. These items are actually pretty good and useful in combat, they might heal your wounds, store some powers inside of them or something to that effect but should not be game changers unless used in specific circumstances.
300b-500b: Powerfulish Items. These Items are powerful but still not huge items that will turn the tide in an enormous fight. These items might heal all of your wounds, they might allow you to teleport (with restrictions), they are often powerful items with restrictions on them
500b-1000b: Powerful Items. These items are actually powerful, they might be a sword can phase in and out of existence for a few seconds, or an orb that allows you to locate another person and see what they are doing. They might be powerful but are more situational.
1000b-2000b: High Powered Items. These items are powerful, they should bring someone from being cool to being badass as long as they know how to use it. Maybe a sword that swings and creates blackholes, or robe that allows you to grow tentacles and manipulate them
2000b-3000b: Majorly Powerful Items. These items are serious business, they should work in most conditions and have few restrictions, it might be a sword that destroys almost everything in it's path or a glove that allows you control over several elements. Often unalchemizable.
3000b-5000b: Ridiculous Items. These items are overwhelming in power, they should allow huge control or mastery of something. These items might enhance someone's power to ridiculous heights or give people another huge set of powers. Generally unalchemizable.
5000b+: Artifacts. These items are one of a kind, they can not be copied and can never be created again. These are items that might give a person another set of godtier abilities or grant them protection from a whole classes' or a whole aspect's ability. Generally unalchemizable.
