Ok...so I'm not sure how many are familiar with my owning a cat...but today is awesome so I'm gunna celebrate how awesome my cat is.
This is not my cat.
It does, however, look like him. Kinda. His ears are smaller and he looks more like an asshole.
Anyways!
Ok so a few things about my cat. A friend used to live way out in the boonies, where there were a lot of feral cats. they found a small litter of kittens that were mewling but not being tended to. One of them got given to my then-girlfriend. He was named Kokonoe (we call him Koko for short) Kokonoe was an adventurous adorable funny little kitten, raised by two other cats and a dog in this household.
In his teenage life, he grew to be more of a loner, not want to let you pet him yet loudly insist on going outside at night and piss around the house if the litterbox wasn't /exactly/ as clean as he wanted it. (also, walks became a thing because he was raised with a harness instead of a collar and liked walking around outside. So I got the bright idea of taking him for walks so that he knew the area if he ever got out...which he has)
Then-girlfriend moved out, and after a whole bunch of heartbreak on my part, everything got settled out, we remained friends, and I got the cat because screw shipping him from Michigan to Iowa. Moving on >>;
So growing into older cat, we got him fixed...which also doubled to get him the usual worms stuff and other things that shelters do to any animal that comes into its facilities.
He's mellowed out and become a lot more attention seeking. He'll run up to things at about hand level for pets, he follow me to the basement door when it's bedtime for pets, he likes being brushed (still doesn't like being bathed though)
Ok so the main point of tonight is to recognize how awesome he's become.
So we'll start with the beginning of the story. I went outside to fetch my cat from being out on the (lightweight)chain. Not only was the cat not there, but neither was the chain.
Well this is very unusual.
My mind thinks back to some things. Ok...there wasn't a note that said the chain was messed up again. There were a couple incidents where we found the chain without his harness attached, and one time we were pretty sure the upstairs neighbors were unhooking him to be jerks. SO since the entire chain was gone, i felt pretty sure that someone had come and taken my cat for being on a chain or something. I still call out just in case.
> almost give up looking for cat
> hear jingle
> wonder if its from the cats on other side of door
> here comes my cat, jogging up to me, with this long chain trailing behind him
> cats all lovey and lets my hook up the chain again before taking him off and inside
> I spend some time petting my cat
>he always so loving after being outside
> i get up and tend to the ramen Ieft cooking
> cat comes in and loves on me
>I give him some pets
> cats leaves and comes back for loving
> tel my cat im cooking
> He leaves
> I love my cat.
and if you want proof, i have video capacities on my laptop :3
